Nelson Environmental Remediation commissioned site photographs for their project in Pincher Creek AB, to use in printed and online marketing materials, and they wanted to show what their company was really about, and they needed to show a more personal side of their business.
Much of the magic of the Thermal Desorption process is contained within a slowly rotating drum and is heated somewhere between 750-1000°Celsius (1400-1800°F) during the remediation process which naturally makes it a difficult task to show in a still photograph.
Solution:
By including the crews (arguably the heart and soul of their operations) and some of the more unique pieces of equipment on site the real personality of Nelson's business began to shine through. Additional images showing how tidy and organized the site stays help to highlight the professionalism of their organization.
About NER:
Nelson Environmental Remediation reclaims contaminated soil on countless industrial sites using On-Site Thermal Desorption. Their commitment to the environment shines not only in their core business, through their day to day operations as well.
When I arrived on site, the professionalism of this group was immediately apparent from their safety briefing to the organization of site operations. Each and every member of their crews showed incredible attention to detail and humble awareness of the role they play in making this world just a little bit cleaner every day. When they say "Clean Dirt, No Doubt" they're not messing around!
Watching their 24x7 operation was a treat in and of itself, and to top it off, I got to document the entire operation!
"There’s a magic in here that we’ve previously not seen in any other shots we’ve had.."
"..you’ve certainly managed to put a face on the equipment and, the personnel (I wondered how difficult this would be…)"
